Triglycerides are the main form of fat circulating in your blood. A fasting level is a sensitive barometer of metabolic health, strongly influenced by diet, alcohol, weight and insulin resistance.
Elevated triglycerides mark insulin resistance and increase the number of atherogenic remnant particles. They respond quickly to lifestyle change, often within weeks, making them one of the most actionable markers on a standard panel.
