A whole-body MRI can detect a range of structural abnormalities across major organs, including some cancers, without using radiation. It cannot detect every condition.

Not yet in the general asymptomatic population. Large randomised trials showing a mortality benefit are lacking. It is best used selectively and interpreted by a doctor.
